Hammer Lab is a photographic processing and print lab also offering services in retouching and drum-scanning.
The lab was established by former photographer Michael McKenzie in 1995, and has grown over the years largely by word of mouth, forming a prestigious client list. Keen to uphold and explore traditional printing techniques, Michael has developed many personal and creative methods to create bespoke prints of the highest quality. Hammer Lab work one to one with clients in a discreet and creative environment, dedicating as much time as needed to fulfill each brief.
The lab is available for colour processing five days a week and on weekends by arrangement. Michael has expertise in the black and white hand processing of film and hand printing. Overall the lab promotes working across a broad range of media whether print and/or digital to achieve the end result.
